Two annoying bugs in the new version (using actionscript based documents).
1 - When you export video/media - Adobe Media encoder doesn't automatically launch. Only way to fix is to quit Animate and Encoder and open both programs before exporting.
2 - When you test the movie and it runs the SWF, it now hangs for around 10 seconds or so before playing the movie? This is so detrimental to my workflow I’ve now gone back to a previous version.
Anyone got a fix or found these issues?

at least for issue 1, it's known to adobe and will probably be fixed in the next release. their current recommendation is to use a previous animate version.

It seems that we have to add to the list
3. Inability to read and import standard WAV files in the 44100Hz 16-bit PCM format, which has always been the norm for Flash and Animate.

@Carbonstudio For the first one, the issue is with the latest version of Media Encoder (ver 15.4). As a workaround, kindly install previous version of Media Encoder (15.2) and try exporting video again.

AME auto launch issue & WAV file import issue has been addressed in the latest Animate update 21.0.9 released today. Please update your copy of Animate & AME to the latest using Creative Cloud Desktop application to avail the fix.

note: adobe updates get rolled-out to users at different times over a period of several days. if you don't see an update in your cc app, wait. it will appear within a few days.
