Without pasting my as3, does anyone know why my buttons flash when I move my cursor over them?

Does it have to do with the animation?
You will have to place the buttons sitting over the animation if you intend to have the animation exceeding the area it originates in.

I do not see the buttons flashing at all, though I do see the cursor reacting when over them and the animation is in that area. That is most likely a result of the animation stepping between the cursor and the button causing it to lose contact momentarily as the animation blocks and unblocks access to the button.

Yes, Ned, that's what I meant to say. Can this be fixed without altering the animations? What would you have done?
Thanks for the quick reply.
