When I import a .wav file the "one or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them" window appears. In a previous project, the same audio file specs for different audio file imported into the previous version of Animate with no problems, so not sure why it's not working now.
Currently running Animate ver 21.0.8. I've brought the file into Audition as well as Media Encoder to re-export as different sample rates, such as 44100Hz, with the same result. Could there be some other aspect of the audio file that Animate doesn't like?
Audio file in question:
Sample Rate: 48000 Hz
Bit Depth: 32(float)
Source Format: Waveform Audio 32-bit Foating Point (IEEE)
My PC:
64-bit Windows 10 OS
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
32GB RAM
Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to let me know if you need more info, or screenshots to help. Thanks!
I believe that this is a newly introduced bug in AA 21.0.8.
There have been many reports of this issue already.

I can confirm the behaviour also.
Just revert to a previous version of the program.
The best format for audio to be imported in Flash and Animate has always been: 44100Hz 16-bit PCM WAV.

I am having this same issue. This is a problem in Actionscript3.0 animations.

i don't have any trouble importing wav files into animate,
whenever i've had problems with sound files i think should be able to be imported into animate, i open them in audition and resave with compatible settings (often the same as the file already says it has).
then i retry importing the file saved by audition. that's never failed for me.

I don't know. Adobe products get stupider every daay. I can drag my waav soundffile into After Effects n problem but the same file won't import into Animate. These arre their products and they don't work together properly. An hour into my daay and I've spent it reformatting files that still don't work. It says on their site that wav files and mp3 files are compatible but the idiotic software just keeps saaying there's aa problem. There is a problem. Adobe products are useless.

different apps have different specs. nothing unexpected about that.

What's unexpected is that Adobe keeps changing things. And the fact that I went to their guidelines page and the files that they suggested were compatible were not. They don't even appear to know their own software. Or they've changed it up so many times they've lost track. I tried, wav, mp3, mp4 and finally some low grade mp3 worked. Not at all satisfactory.

Other than that I'm not seeking your worldly opinion, I'm seeing an answer to a problem that wasn't there a month ago.
