Can't open Jpg. and Png. pictures in Adobe Animate trial

Hi everyone. I began to use Adobe Animate trial yesterday as a trial while I have problems opening jpg. and png. pictures, as well as psd. files. Dragging in or opening from the menu don't work. It seems the open options only accept animation/java files. Is it due to its trial version? Does anybody have the same problem?

Hi - Use File > Import Import to Stage option instead. Animate can only open .fla, .xfl, ,jsfl, .as files but can import jps, png, psd, ai, svg etc.,

Alternatively after creating a new document you can drag drop the file on to Animate stage to import it. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Mohan

Thank you. Very strangely my app cannot show 'Import to Stage', the option is in grey.  It is wierd.

The app doesn't allow me to import. I guess it is a limitation of the Trial version...?
