Hey there!
Things are as so: I have worked for hours on a project – and coming back a few days after, when I open the project, all the previously gained progress is not on the project ... despite clearly recalling "auto-recovery" automatically saving project progress during that work period. So these automatically saved versions should be somewhere, right? But inspite searching everywhere, I can't find the latest project version.
Could somebody help me? I'd be so grateful to recover all that hard work...
Thanks in advance!
prevent this in the future by appending increasing version number to your fla name and saving frequently.

Thanks for your answer! Sorry if I don't understand exactly what you mean by "appending increasing version number" – could you elaborate?
Also, I realise I have actually saved myself already … how is it that the last version isn't saved? I don't understand …
Maybe it is a point that I used an external diskstation to save my files?

the last version may be saved, but it may be corrupted. you won't find that out until you try to open it.
for project1.fla, save as project1_v000.fla, project1_v001.fla, project1_v002.fla etc.
periodically close and reopen the last version to confirm it's not corrupted. if it opens without problem, you can delete previous versions.

Okay, embarrasing – I found the file! Thanks to those who took the time to read the question anyways!
