cant hear my imported audacity sound

ive tryed to import a sound file two animate on windows 10. i have not updated and it worked onece before. i did the exact thing again and it wont work! ive tryed mp3 and wav files  and the sound is there but no madder what i do i cnat hear it i can see the adiuo lines but cant hear them. has this happend to anyone else? help!
