Cant rebind keyboard shortcuts

Hi! Trying to bind my space bar to play, because thats what it was on my older copy of Animate. Whenever I try to remap it, if i hit space it brings up the hand tool over the window. same with ctrl + space, just brings up the zoom tool. Again, this is over the window. even if i bind the hand tool to something else it just forces it back to the space bar. Any way around this? autohotkey doesnt seem to work with adobe animate 2020

Play/Stop has always been on Enter (NumPad Enter as well).

Space Bar has always been temporary access to Hand tool.

Ctrl+Space has always been temporary access Zoom tool.

Ctrl temporarily switches to Selection tool, and so on.

These cannot be changed. They are hard-coded.

Can anyone explain why (since keyboard shortcuts are supposed to be user-assignable) you can't re-map the space bar for start/stop if you prefer? It's very annoying to overcome the muscle memory that develops after working with After Effects (where the space bar controls start /stop beautifully). Is there a way to make this a feature request, please!?
