Codec Error 0xc00d5212 with .mov file (Quicktime)

What codec should be used when exporting into .mov for Quicktime?

The receiver of my animation cannot open the file due to codec failure (0xc00d5212).

Is there a common solution for that?

If you are just sharing a video to someone, choose H.264 instead of QuickTime. If you are exporting to go on to edit in Final Cut Pro or Premiere, then think about using one of the Pro Res codecs.

Thank your for your prompt answer!

I have tried ProRes (the Apple ones) with Animate. Is there a difference whether you export with Animate or Premiere (or others)?

ProRes is ProRes, and Animate uses Adobe Media Encoder to do the compression, so does Premiere I would imagine.

What is the receiver of the animation going to do with the file?

Then send an H.264 mp4 file. That can be played back in an HTML5 banner.
