Deleting artwork from Animate breaks the file

Hello,

When I replace artwork within a symbol and delete the old art, this breaks the code and the website stops working. I have uneccessary art in my file bogging it down and I would like to decrease the file size bcause it is not publishing. Please help.

I have tried deleting the code and the symbol and creating new ones, this still causes a problem.

Instead of doing the way you do you it you need to go click on the moveclip you want to replace. Then got to the project panel and select the option you want to replace it with.
