Distort and envelope greyed out for both movie clip and graphic

I've tried both and still grey, and rebooted!

Hi.

Those options are only available for raw shapes. It's only possible to apply parallel transformations to symbols.

Thanks, the info said you could use symbols!  Got round it by pins and bitmaps......
