I am brand new to Animate.  When I duplicate a shape and move it onto another area of the previous shape the stroke does not show up and my original shape loses color.  What am I doing wrong?

First, you have to double-click a shape to also select its strokes.

Second, I assume by "loses color" you mean the fill, which means you're NOT duplicating the shape, you're just moving it.

I made my shape with the fill color and stroke size selected. I want to
duplicate the circle with the fill color and stroke. When I use Command C
and then Command V the shape and color are copied but the stroke is lost.
