I'm trying to create an animated library symbol (movie clip) that includes at least one moving part and at least one stationary part. Then put an instance of the animated symbol on the main stage.
When the animation begins, the moving part is not moving. A click on the movie clip starts the moving part moving. At some point in its motion, it moves to a position where it could affect another object; pushing it, pulling it, cutting it, hitting it,... We will refer to this position as the "contact position". Note: This second object is not a part of this assignment.
Eventually, we will add programming so that the object you are creating can communicate with other objects to tell them when the moving part is in the contact position, but for this assignment I want you to put in a separate layer in the library symbol that plays a sound effect when the animation reaches the contact position.
what's your question?

Rube Goldberg machine
Learning goals:
You are to create a Flash/Animate animation, a 10-stage event-driven Rube Goldberg machine. The first stage is triggered by some user interaction, a button click, a drag, ... . The final stage must accomplish some meaningful task like turning on a light, opening a jar, closing a door, or the like.
All of the stages must be connected to a unified setting; a large machine, a room, an outdoor landscape, a region of outer space, whatever. It is not acceptable to have the objects simply placed on a blank stage.
Each stage (except possibly the first) is triggered by an event-generated message. Each stage (except possibly the last) throws an event (message) when it reaches its transfer point - the point where it would kick off the next stage in a physical machine. At least one of the stages has to continue its animation past the transfer point.
The stages can interact directly with each other through these messages or you can have one or more scripts in the main movieclip timeline that detect the transfer message from one stage and either raise a trigger message for the next stage or call a function of the next stage. Those are the ONLY interactions that the main timeline can have with any stage. Your main timeline cannot have any scripts that refer to any frame inside a stage, for example – nothing like secondstage.gotoAndPlay(“beginAnimation”).
At least 5 of the 10 stages should be different animations. At least 5 of the stages must make at least 1 sound each. The graphics for at least 5 of the stages must be your own original work.
All images, animations, programs, or sounds which are not your own work must be cited, including those which came from class examples. The citations should be placed as comments in a keyframe in a layer called “citations” In order to make sure that the citations remain with the moviclip that uses the cited material, each movieclip that uses such material must have the citations within the clip, not in the main movie. This is the method I’ve used in the class examples – you can look in the cherryDrop.fla file to see an example.
Here is what I have to get done, Please help if all possible thank you.
