Export of classic tween flickers

New Here ,
Feb 05, 2020 Feb 05, 2020

Im looking for advice on how to reduce or eliminate flicker in my animation. Here is a link to  the export and also its original FLA file. Please note that there is considerable and undesired flicker as the objects move.
Thanks you!

Maybe it's because I'm viewing it on my phone, but I don't see any flicker.

It may be that there's so much less to load on the phone screen. Speaking
of screen size, I should have mentioned that this short animation is part
of a documentary that will be featured in a movie theater.
Thank you!

Tried again on desktop, still not seeing any flicker. Loaded into Premiere and viewed frame-by-frame, no flicker. What exactly do you think is flickering?

Hi Dan,

Technically there is no flicker in your files - in each successive frame the objects are moving in the desired direction.

But, of course, depending on the screen this kind of movement can be perceived as flickering, because of the hard-edged objects.

To make it appear smoother you can simulate some motion blur in the direction of the movement either in Animate or in post.

Or you can double the frame rate to 60fps. In this case the amplitudes between frames will become smaller and the movement will be perceived as smoother.

As a general animation advice I would say: Avoid long monotonous tweens. They never look appealing. Instead anticipate and move quickly into the second position with a cushioning or overshoot.
