Exporting from flash into After Effects

New Here ,

Hello everyone

I wanted to ask about exporting animation. I created whole animation in AS3, there is nothing on a stage, only movieClips with linkage that I used are in the library. The animation is working after publishing it into HTML and when playing it in outside of flash. The problems arise when i try to import the animation  into After Effects, there are no errors when importing, but I cant see anything when i add it into composition. When I import from Flash the animations that were made with the use of tweens and frame-by-frame , after effects doesnt give me any errors, everything works.I use Flash CS6 and After Effects cs4.

I hope this is a proper forum

Thx for help in advance

are you importing the swf into ae?

if yes, does that swf work correctly when run in the stand-alone player?  ie, not in the browser and not using html?

if no, import the swf.

swf files that use ActionScript can`t be imported as Assets in After Effects.

You will have to use swf2videoconverter or use Export as Mov(animation) to get your files into After effects.
