exporting something with transparency

so im trying to export this animation that has an asset that uses 45% opacity for the shading, but when i export it, everything is completely opaque, what is going on!?

Are you exporting to a compression type that supports an alpha channel like Apple ProRes 4444 with Alpha?  

Another, but older, option is Animation with Alpha.
