Eyedropping colors automatically become oversaturated, color preview becomes desaturated in contrast

This problem started recently like a week ago and I thought upgrading would solve the problem (2021 -> 2022), but the problem still persists. 

This deters me alot when it comes to picking colors, and it leaves me with the only solution of copying the hex code directly from another symbol rather than working from it in the symbol I'm in right now. 

This problem also occurs when the layers are locked within the symbol, then the color picking saturates.

Please help, I'm very uncertain on what to do here. ><

I recall seeing you before! Yes, this is a MacBook Pro.

If you're referring the flickering as the screen slightly desaturating whenever I place down a brush stroke, then yeah I've been dealing with that too. It's strange. It never did that before, it only ever like. Slightly dipped in quality.

That said, this only happens with the Fluid Brush tool, not the classic brush tool.

I asked if you were using a mac, because I've seen this flickering reported before, unfortunately, without any workarounds.

I imagine that the color picking issues are related. 

When you directly click a raw shape, it picks the shape properties and in this case it is likely going to work correctly.

When you drag a color picker, this is a different method of picking - I believe from the screen buffer - which is likely causing the error.

From what I have seen people say here on the forums, the last properly supported mac OS is Monterey.

I see, so there's no workaround to this bug? I've been on edge about moving to Animate 2024, honestly.

I really don't know.

Keep your old version and install the latest separately to test.

If you can update your graphic drivers, that may have some effect on the situation too.

It definitely is mac-specific.

Update, tried the most recent version of Animate 2024, and the problem is still there.

Is there any specific graphics driver I should look out for? I'm having trouble finding it.

Sorry! It was just a guess that a video driver update might help.

It seems that all you can do is wait for the issue to be resolved with an Animate update.

Hi, what version of Animate 2022 is it? The last one was v.22.0.8.

Can you check by going to Help > About Animate?

I'm afraid I'm kind of locked with these versions. I don't exactly know how to install a specific version per se if it's not in the list here.
