flash pro cs6 (mac) crashing at start

dear, i've been reading and trying all solutions that i found on this forum even other places on internet but unsuccesfully.

new imac 27" 5k, fresh installations. every app of my cs6 (+indd cc) works fine but the flash pro.

when i launch it, it 50/50 crashes after disappears the splash screen or sometimes looks started well, but the menu bar contains: nothing except apple symbol / just "Flash" / sometimes Flash | File | Edit... ... but when i click at the menu (to open a file for example), it crashes then.

could you please help me to find a solution? may it be due some unstable font installed in my system, but which one could it be?

after securing your password, uninstall flash (including preferences).

clean per Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

restart your computer

reinstall flash

dear, i uninstalled flash including preferences, cleaned whole cs6 using creative cloud cleaner tool, reinstalled flash + 12.0.2 update.

still the same problem.

Thank You. I tried this already.

I located the file, made it empty. It stayed empty till now even though I didn’t know how to make it read-only in Finder (os x).

I am out of ideas. Just in case you have the option of installing on another computer, can you try that and let us know just to check if this is something machine specific?

Another thing you would probably want to check is create a new user account, and try to install using that account.

After you have done the reinstall of CS6, use the Help menu Updates option. The version you get when you do the reinstall is likely to be 12.0.0, and the update should give you 12.0.2, which is worth having.

One thing to know though is that if you are running High Sierra, which is likely on a new iMac, once you get CS6 working again you will find that it crashes when you try to use the import options. Doesn't matter what you try to import, CS6 will crash.
