Help, Wanted to make an interactive 3D with Flash cs5 and 3Ds Max

Hello, I'm newbie here. I just want to make an interactive 3D with flash.
But I'm stuck with the plugins and the steps.
Some tutorials said using away3D, but the steps are too complicated, and it using flash builder too..

I have found a plugin it called Swift3D Max, but there is no tutorial for it.
Which one is better? Please Help me.

you can use away3d with flash pro cs5 though that will probably not be the latest version of away3d.

no, you can use away3d.  it's a complete 3d framework.

here some detail, this is a 2D image that I made from cs5,

I want to make that a detail object (in this case i want make it a 3d object), for example that caliper, when I clicked that image (caliper) then a 3D object will show up. *3D object can rotated by user.

will this concept works?

yes, you can display a 2d object that when clicked would reveal a 3d object.  you will need to code for it to appear and to be manipulated.
