Hi, Most Of The Time When I Try To Swap A Symbol, The Swap Symbol Option Does Not Show Up. It Also does not show up in the Menu. One time, I selected the whole character and then double clicked my symbol and it came up. However, the other times I tried this is did not work. I spent maybe half an hour trying to get the Swap Symbol to show up and it did not work. Do you know how I can always get the swap symbol option to show up. Right now I am stalled. I'm adding different mouth positions. I'm on the second one now, and can't swap it.

you have to select a symbol.  not a collection of symbols or other objects.  ie, when you select whatever you want to swap, in the properties panel, it should be an object that's an instance of <something>:

Hi, I just realized, I swapped the symbol with an ai file, and it was not a symbol. So, I had to convert it to a symbol 1st.

there are lots of ways to fail to select a symbol.  you found just one, so the correct answer is above your previous response.
