Can anyone provide me with guidelines for creating Adobe Animate files for Instagram?

I am using Adobe Animate 2017 on a Mac.

Thank you for your help.

Exporting out a video directly from Animate will upload to Instagram just fine, the hard part is getting it on your phone because you can't upload from a desktop.

The best way I have found is to use a Cloud service like Dropbox, GDrive or Apple Cloud to get the video on your phone for upload. It's slightly different from iOS to Android but it's similar enough to give you the broad strokes here.

I'm pretty sure Instagram doesn't support SWF or HTML Are you trying to ask how to export a video file from Animate? If you're looking for video format settings, you can just Google for that.

Yes, I am looking to export as a video file. I want to do the same with Adobe Premiere and After Effects. But I also want to do it from within Adobe Animate.

Then you open the app, find the video in the list and export it to your phone. From there you can go to Instagram and it will see your video in the Gallery. Then just click on it, walk through the posting wizard Instagram has, add your hashtags and click Share! I hope this helps!

Oh and sorry, but you can also do the same with After Effects or Premiere videos. Same process. Again the trickiness of it all is the upload to the phone not the export of the video.

I notice that the video loops from within Instagram. What must I do in order to get it play once and then have a replay button? I guess Instagram will supply the replay button.

That's currently not possible. It's set up to endlessly loop. There is no code that's accessible so a button wouldn't work. It's just a video.

So I guess I will have to leave enough video at the end of the video before it loops again.

If it isn't an upload, but you want to make a mobile app that can share a picture to Instagram, look into using one of the social media ANEs (GoViral by Milkman Games for example). With those you can send an image to the OS sharing system, and one of the sharing options is Instagram. At least on iOS it is.
