When I open Animate, there's an animated tip above 'What's new' in the bottom left corner. How do I disable this and any new ones from appearing, please? (Bonus kudos if you know how to disable the 'recent files' from appearing too!)

I always block the bloody CEP Html Engine with special rules in Windows Firewall. (You may be able to safely delete it as well, but upon update you'll have to deal with it again.)

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Animate 2022\CEPHtmlEngine\CEPHtmlEngine.exe

This prevents the constant download of gigabytes of Adobe crap.

You may also need to clear some cached junk. Try looking in:

C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Adobe\Animate\2022\Assets

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Adobe\Animate 2022\en_US\Configuration\Coachmark

and, of course, the Program Files Animate folder itself.

But if you block the CEP 'trojan' early on, it will not be able to download all the stuff that you don't want anyway 🙂

Good luck!
