How do I make a fast forward button

Hi I have just returned to flash and it has changes a lot since I last used it.  I want to make some instructional (technical Drawing) videos and I want the viewer to be able to fast forward through the bits that they may already know. I am struggling to figure out hoe to make a fast forward button.

Any ideas?

are you using an flv or mp4 video?  if so, use an flvplayback component with a ff button.

if not is your 'video' actually not a video but the main timeline playing from its first to its last frame?
