you could convert the frames/animation to a movieclip and scale the movieclip.

The frames are already move clips I think.

before I animated them I selected > convert to symbol>movieclip...
could you give me more indepth guidence on this? or point me to a page that shows you how? I am still trying and failing lol.

create a new movieclip

then copy all the layers/frames of your animation 

paste them into the new movieclip's timeline
