Hello,
Please check if the Eraser mode is set to Erase Normal.
Selecting Round and Projecting cap always will extrude a bit from the end points of stroke which is default behaviour in Animate. Hence when you erase with a smaller size eraser it is hard to notice the cuts made in the stroke.
You can use Butt cap in stroke options, to avoid this issue.
Also to erase edge of the strokes, please use a bigger eraser and check.
Let us know if you still have issue with a complete screen recording of the same.
Thanks!

i figured it out, if you need to tell anyone else, you just have to convert it to a fill. make a keybind and just click it or go to modify < line < convert to fill
