I've lost the ability to Edit in Place?

Community Beginner ,

Sometime over the last few weeks I've lost the ability to Edit in Place in Animate CC; when double-clicking and even when right-clicking and choosing "edit in place", the editing instead happens in isolation from everything else, so I loose all reference of other graphics that I'm trying  to line things up with.  ie. it's like editing a symbol directly from the library.
Any thoughts on what's happened?  As far as I'm aware there have been no settings changes.

Do you happen to be attempting to edit in place in a document that's using the camera?

Hi RoGuE

Can you please say which version of Animate? And did you update recently?

I try to find solutions, keep patient please.

Klaus

18.0.1 build 115; I'm not aware of any updates having been applied.

Thanks ClayUUID, that appears to be the cause; I didn't INTEND having a camera, and wasn't aware that it had somehow inadvertantly been turned on!

I did notice at one stage that when attempting to toggle layer visibility I was sometimes getting an error popup about Advanced Layers because I was hitting a greyed-out icon next to the eyeball, but I just thought it was a new icon added to the layer options in CC.
