In-browser interactive button hit state is wrong but browser zoom is correct

Anyone know of another way this could be broken? It's literally just a green default library "play" button, but the one guy who has to sign off on the project has a browser that's hozed in some way such that he can barely click that button.

Usually, this is caused by the zoom of the browser window having been changed, but not this time apparently, so I'm trying to find out if anyone else knows other ways interactive buttons can get their hit states out of whack.

yes, that screenshot is from the win 10 display settings and they're known to cause a variety of problems with adobe problems if set to anything other than 100%.

You should try to feel empowered. Right-click on your Windows desktop, choose Display Settings, and if there is a scale slider, move it back to the default setting. That is often 100%, but sometimes 150% or 200%. The problems happen when you've gone higher than the default.

Don't tell the IT guy.

Colin, none if it is happening on my computer. It's essentially the client contact who signs off on it who has messed up his machine. So the IT gets to deal with him, lol. But on Monday since he's gone home already apparently…

Colin and kglad, you guys are missing the part where this is a problem with the client's browser, not any Adobe programs.

That being said, I discovered a while back that when running Canvas content under IE9, and the stage is scaled, the hit area for buttons doesn't correctly follow where the buttons appear to be. So maybe the client is still using IE9?

Nah, I think kglad got it. And yes, this has to work in IE specifically since that's what is specified in the deliverables.

But thanks and yeah, FWIW, IE10 and IE11 exhibit the same behavior when the browser window is scaled. So annoying…

Up until now I had been unaware that WIndows had *multiple* ways to force the browser into that state.

When you say, "when the browser window is scaled", do you mean via the Windows desktop scale setting, or just using the browser zoom feature? If the latter, you should not be having any issues with IE10/11. In all my testing, zooming in and out has no ill effects on button functionality.

Hmmm, we're on IE 11.0.38 here and it's doing it still.
