I was on another website and they claimed that Flash user by users in on the decline. Has anyone heard if this is true? I am working on a project that with use a lot of Flash, and if it is on the decline, what alternative are people using?

Yes. The market for Flash implementations went south after Apple, then Adobe, dropped support of Flash for mobile devices. As a result, a good portion of the non-mobile world became cautious of utilizing Flash content and sought alternatives. Adobe changed Flash into Animate (likely to hide the now shamed name) and focused more on incorporating capabilities for creating HTML5-based content, to at least make it somewhat competitive in the HTML5 world.

Thank you for the response. I was curious about Flash. I may just switch me development away from Flash, and more towards HTML5.

Do note though that you can develop using Adobe Animate, and publish to either SWF or HTML5 Canvas, and a few other platforms. Most of a SWF project can be reused in an HTML5 Canvas project, which would mean you could continue to make better performing versions for desktop Flash Plugin users, and you could make a simplified HTML5 Canvas version for mobile users and for desktop users who refuse to use the plugins that are built into their browser.
