this video mentioned that you can download a old version of macromedia flash for free that is LEGAL. I wanted to make sure because I know that pirated versions of software are a big problem and I wanted to make sure that this was approved by adobe (since they bought out macromedia). In the video he states that its legal but I want to make sure adobe knows about this. it seemed like it might be legal since its outdated but it is still owned by adobe and I didn't see anything so far saying that it was approved by adobe. here is the link to the video HOW TO DOWNLOAD FLASH FOR FREE! (100% SAFE) - YouTube . thank you for reading and please respond soon

PS: I am sorry if someone already asked this and I'm repeating it. I am new to the forums and couldn't find anything.

This doesn't look legal to me at all. I will forward this to our anti-piracy team for their observations.

Thanks,

Preran

What you are posting appears to be of an illegal infringement, of Adobe, and its owner's illegal claim over the substrate inventions and basic usages of the tools found in Adobe's so-called "property" software. What you are saying is that Adobe has a legal infringement into what the Honorable Public Person owns, which is the right to make writing, reading, drawing, and animating tools without any restriction on the basic concept or execution of these in Computer-program tools.

Also, this version is very old and unlikely to be supported by the latest OS versions and hardware.

I do not see any problem with someone running an old version of Macromedia as long as it is not a pirated version. I am not sure what is the last version of Flash that could be run on an old system. Perhaps an early Adobe version would run on your machine?

I think the last Macromedia version I had was version MX but I do not have the CD any more. Hope you can find someone to give you one if an Adobe version cannot run on that machine.

Now I have another question - would the flash player run such an old version of an swf file?

Post, RISE FROM THE DEAD!

It's legal if you use the official unlimited user license serial number, but using a keygen or downloading from an unsafe site like soft112 could get you into trouble. Things like Archive.org and animatearchive.neocities.org are legal, safe, and free, but has the installers only, resulting in it being legal.

Some serials are missing, so if you want Flash CS6, don't get it. You can only use Macromedia Flash MX 2004 (v7) and lower.

Note that I am not an Adobe employee and I like abandonware better.

If you get a virus on the computer if you download from an unsafe website, or use a keygen and get the FBI up your ***, don't blame me. BLAME YOURSELF.

In conclusion, don't watch that video, and use Flash MX 2004 or lower. THOSE are legal. You know what's illegal? Using Adobe's versions, because they kinda are still supported.

I personally use Flash MX (2002, v6). If you want to be a graphic designer or animator but still want to use Adobe versions of Animate CC (Flash Pro), like Preran (an Adobe employee) said, get a free trial of Animate CC or older versions. Or just use Macromedia like I do.

Have a good day Adobe employees and RandomlyGeneratedNumbers.

I was dumb back then.

Yes I made that reply.
Sure, Flash CS4 and higher is still legal, but the cost is that it's pretty buggy, especially under other systems that aren't Windows or Mac.
