Learning AS3. I was fairly good writing AS2, but now I have to understand AS3 and it's difficult for me to get my head around it. I'm not a developer, so is there a place to visit to learn how to write AS3 for Animate CC?

Javascript is a lot more similar to AS2; why not just learn that and work with HTML5 Canvas in Animate?

I found Actionscript 3.0 Visual Quickstart Guide from Peachpit Press really helpful in learning the basics.  You can probably get it used on Amazon for little money.  Adobe Help files are good for in-depth but generally too dense and technical if what you want is to get up and running quickly.  I think they made Actionscript 3.0 harder and less intuitive than AS2.  Things that were once simple, are now cumbersome. But AS2 is no longer supported so you might as well get down to it.
