Media application need and advice

For our organization we need to build an application that can take a web users (mainly from abroad) voice input via a microphone and record it. From what I understand the way to build such an application is still with Flash. I know that this is all changing fast, I mean it’s changing that Flash is the only option. For us Flash would be a good option (we have experience developing in AS3) but I want to make sure it is currently a viable choice. I know that the things being done through JavaScript with jQuery and other frameworks are amazing. I have searched for other options and did not come up with much. Is Flash still the best way for this? Thanks

yes, it's viable as long as you're not trying to apply to ios web browsers.
