newb - When I drag an image to the Stage, I don't want the default duration to be 20 seconds ..?

I have a project, and a layer selected when I Import a .png graphic into my Library.

I then drag this library asset onto my Stage, and it puts it into the selected layer.

However, it gives it a default duration of 20-30 seconds!  So I have to drag the end point slowly down to my desired 3 seconds.  This is slow.

Is there anyway to set a default duration , or just make it appear as one keyframe in my layer by default?

you should select the layer and keyframe and then you drag an asset to the stage.

Hi.

It's because you probably have at least one layer that lasts for so long.

So you need to make sure to add an extra keyframe to the selected layer before dragging so that the bitmap will only take the span between the first two keyframes.

JC
