No Button Mode

Button mode has quit working in all my flash movies when viewed in Safari and Firefox.  Not just the recent ones, but also the ones that have been up on a server for more than 5 years.

Opera and Chrome work fine. So I suspect the browsers to be the problem. Is this a known issue?

Appears that the latest version of Safari - 5.1.9 - doesn't play well with Flash. I installed older versions of Flash Player - down to 10.2 - and didn't get proper cursor display. Then I installed an older version of Safari and everything is fine, even with the latest Flash Player re-installed.

Looks like they're case sensitive now.

i don't see a problem.

and, i'm not sure what you mean be "...they're case sensitive now".  everything in flash has been case sensitive for the past 9 versions of flash.

The problem is with the browser, not the Flash Player.

With "case sensitive " I'm refering to the link. I typed "commercial" while it should have been "Commercial".

I´m on Windows Firefox 20.0.1 and your buttonMode works fine for me.

If you are on a Mac: The missing handcursor issue is known for some months and to my knowledge hasn`t been patched out from Adobe.

Only workaround is making your own custom Handcursor for the moment.

I don't think Adobe is to blame for this one. The problem seems to be Safari 5.1.xx. I installed the oldest Fash Player available for download, 10.2, and the problem persists. Then I installed an older version of Safari and everything works fine with Flash Player 11.7.
