Getting feedback that people cannot hear sound from our Animate Canvas html5 web presentions on iPhone and Macbooks. Why is this happening and how do I or people with iPhones, etc. fix it?
Thank you!

Most browsers these days don't allow sound to be played until a page has been interacted with by the user.

Much appreciated. On desktop Safari/Chrome/Edge the sound works fine, and is user activated. On iPhone and Mac Book Air user activation doesn't play the audio in Safari nor Chrome.
One example of many sites with the capability (or lack thereof) is sitellites.com/whitehorse where clicking/tapping the sound button or pressing 's' on a keyboard starts the audio, or is supposed to anyway…

The sound works fine on desktop Safari, Chrome and Edge. Also on Android devices. It IS user activated…
It just doesn't work on some iPhones and Mac Book Air.
I tried including a URL to a sample in my last reply but the reply was marked as SPAM…
Thank you!

After the page is loaded there still needs to be an extra button press in order to start the animation that is going to have sound.

Yes that is indeed what occurs. I'd post the URL to a sample but Adobe keeps calling the post SPAM when I do.
You see in the graphic/image (above) the button at the bottom left that says "Narration (stop/play)" It works on desk/laptop fine but not on iPhone or Mac Book Air.
The sound file is on the main timeline. Could it be that it might work better if a movie clip is activated that contains the sound file rather than having it on the main time line? Not sure why it would matter. Works as is on Android.
Thank you!

An update.
My sound issue is with iPhones and Mac Book Air not playing sound even after user activation. Activating a button to hear sound works everywhere else (desktop Safari, Chrome, Edge).
Just now on an iPhone I pulled up the direct URL of one of the mp3 files and heard the audio just fine. So now the question is why doesn't Canvas/html5 output from Animate not play user activated sound on iPhone, Mac Book Air?

You could fill in the remainder of the URL with spaces between words. For example, it might start with:
the white horse dorking . com /
And then we could take a look at the page itself.
