Once my animation has finished, how do i make it go on to the next animation file?
You can use the main timeline frames as screens.
For example: put your splash screen playing from frame 1 to 60 and then in frame 61 you put your next screen, like a menu or text message.

Do you mean going to another...? Scene, frame, SWF, HTML?

You need to tell us what kind of output you want.
Because "Animate file" is a FLA and a FLA is a working file and doesn't make sense to say that it can be linked to another.
What type of animation are you doing? Are you using AS3, JavaScript...?
We really need more info.

an AS3 but the animation will be using a browser once complete. Sorry I’m very new to Animate, it’s for a school project.

Shouldn't you have learned how to do that in school then?

Our teacher has never used Animate before. Everyone is also at different stages with most people having to retake an exam we had last year and he told me that he won't help me as he's helping them instead. I was told to find it on the internet but I can't find anything.

Hi.
Can you give us an example, show us a file, code...?

Well I’ve made a splash screen so after that has played it has to automatically go on to the next screen.
