Dear Adobe Team and Fellow Animate Users,
As a loyal Adobe Animate user, I’d like to share an idea that I believe would greatly enhance the software for animators and designers alike: introducing basic video editing capabilities within Adobe Animate.
Currently, Animate is a powerful tool for creating animations and interactive content, but when it comes to handling video files, we face limitations that often force us to switch to other Adobe applications like After Effects or Premiere Pro. For many of us, this means performing even the simplest video edits—like trimming, cutting, or controlling playback on the timeline—in a separate, more complex software, which disrupts workflow and slows down productivity. This especially affects projects that don’t need advanced video manipulation but could benefit from streamlined, built-in video editing features.
Imagine if Adobe Animate allowed us to:
These additions would be a game-changer for creating web animations, educational videos, and simpler projects, where speed and simplicity are key. By including these basic video editing tools, Adobe Animate could stand out even more as an all-in-one animation solution, empowering users to complete projects without constantly switching between applications.
Thank you for considering this feedback. I know many in the Adobe community would greatly appreciate these enhancements, and we hope this feature can be added in future updates.
Best regards,
