I'm experiencing a bug with the Paint Brush Tool (and the Pencil Tool to a lesser extent), where the program in some odd circumstances would maintain pen input when the stylus has been lifted from the surface of the tablet. I am using the latest version of Adobe Animate and this bug appears to be occurring with my 2017 model, Wacom Intuos Pro Large. It does not affect any other tool, besides the Paint Brush and Pencil tools and is not present in any other program with the same tablet.
I'm not sure if this has affected any other model of Wacom tablet, and based on my experiences, it seems to have a much lower tendency of occurring in a new, empty Animate Document.
Apparently zooming out of the drawing tends to reduce the possibility, if not prevent this from happening. However, this is not feasible when drawing detailed linework.
Is anybody here experiencing the same issue with their (new) Wacom tablets or know of a possible solution to the bug?
Please let me know, thanks.
Actually I've seen this many times and it has more to do with your pen nib not fitting in the pen correctly rather than Animate itself. Mess around with the nib as it may not be seated correctly. It also happens if you've pushed too hard on the tip of the pen because it can unseat the pen mechanisms inside the stylus shaft. You can take it apart and reseat it.

Hi Gazzawu,
I haven't heard of this issue from any other user. Most of the Wacom issues have been resolved in the latest Animate update on Mac OS? Which OS are you on, which device? Have you updated all drivers on your device?
From what I know, the team is fixing some issues on Surface Pro.
Thanks,
Preran

Can you let us know if Asymetrical's solution helped fix your issue? Feel free to mark the answer as correct if it did.

A few months ago I switched from the previous model to the newest Wacom Pro and the same issue appears every few touches.
Doesn't matter how hard I'm pushing the stylus. Even when I'm barely touching the tablet's surface( but enough to,, make the action'') it's sometimes stuck and PS thinks that I'm still touching the surface with the nib.
In my case affected are: Hube Cube and every bar( for Opacity, or brush size etc.). Any other applications work fine. I'm working on Late 2012 iMac with up-to-date software versions.
The issue was not appearing while using the previous model of the tablet. But on the other hand- it appears only in PS, so both tablet and stylus are fine.
I've tried to used to it, but after few updates, I gave up. It's super distracting.
Is there any way to avoid this problem?
Thx!
