Project is all messed up!!!!!

Hello , I really need your help guys. I spent many, many hours on an animation project and suddenly, when I opened it this morning, all the animation was messed up: the limbs of my character are all over the screen and all the work I did is now lost. I can't even begin to describe in words how pissed I am. From now on I have trust issues with flash cs6, this has never happened to me, ever, not with any kind of software.

Is there anything I can do to recover my work or at least preventing this from happening again? Because if every time I save a project I have to be worried that it is going to get messed up, please tell me now because I give up on flash cs6.

with all software you should be saving frequent 'versions' as you progress.

if i have a fla named test.fla,  initially i'll save test_01.fla.  then i'll save test_02.fla, test_03.fla etc.

p.s. please don't cross-post the same message in multiple forums.

So that's your answer??? This is not a problem of saving my progress, this is a problem that has to do with adobe flash cs6 messing up my stuff without any reason. Even If I saved many times, if Adobe changes my saved files, it is of no use saving multiple times!!!  This is absolutely crazy, I'm serious about this. I should sue this company for ruining hours of work without any reason. I refuse to continue using a program that for no reason messes up my files. I've used a lot of software and never I have come to a saved file to see that every thing is all over the place. How can a computer decide to move an arm out of the screen?????? I'm seriously freaking out

my answer is in response to, '...at least preventing this from happening again'.

for your current project, you may be able to use your history panel, Adobe Flash Professional * Undo, redo, and the History panel

Hey I just re-did all of the work, and saved multiple times, twelve, to be exact, with different evolutions of the work: all the files are completely messed up. [profanity removed] This keeps happening and happens to ALL the files. ????????????? Again all my work is completely messed up. This software is totally unusable. I'm so pissed off I think I'm going to have a heart attack

create a test fla.

add some small part of your animation to it and test it.  does it work?

if so, save your fla, reopen it and test it.  does it still work?

Hi, I just read in another thread that someone had the exact same problem as me, it involves armatures and shapes. The problem is that every time you load a file the shapes appear away from the armatures (bones). People tried to solve this by clicking again on the bones and that makes the shapes come back to the bones. But the problem is still there and every single time you load the project the shapes appear away again. I noticed that if you click on an armature (bone) two times, a pin appears if you hover over a joint of the bone. By pinning every shape to its armature (bone) it seems I have solved this problem, for now (anyway, you have to un-pin everything afterwards to keep animating). I don't know if this is a bug or if this is how it is supposed to be, but I have never experienced so much frustration and mental anguish with any software in my entire life. With the experience I've had so far, I am sooo sure I will come back reporting more problems.
