Question about animating to audio inside graphic symbol

New Here ,
Aug 06, 2019 Aug 06, 2019

Hey guys,

I have created a scene where all of my characters are in graphics symbols.

I have imported my audio and set it to stream so I can animate to it.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the audio play while I animate inside the graphic symbols?

Or do I need to import the audio into every seperate symbol in order to animate to it?

Thank you for your time.

Danny

Select the first frame that the audio starts in, right click over it and select Copy Frames. Go inside your symbol(s) and create a new layer. Right click over the first frame and select Paste Frames to add your audio from the parent timeline. No need to reimport.

Hi mate,

Just copy the audio layers to any timeline where you need to hear them.

As long as they are set to "Stream", only the Main Timeline audio will export.

All timelines that are synced to audio have to be synced to the main timeline, that's all.

And, of course, if you make any adjustments to any of the audio tracks you will need to update where necessary.

Hope this helps!

Okay I see.

I was just wondering because I have so many graphics symbols that need to be animated with audio, I didn't know if I needed to re-import the audio into all of them.

I appreciate the help tilcheff.

Have a good one.

When you say 'so many' do you have a scene with tens of characters / elements?

Are you sure you have organised things in the optimal way possible?

yes, you will have to take the audio inside the symbol. Usually I put the audio with the head of a character.
