Trying to create a Parallax effect that moves down from the currently displayed "stage" VP perspective to a bug's eye-type view with a field of flowers/butterflies, and then zoom through the multiplanes, mostly within those two views. I want to move the camera closer to the flower(s) and gradually move out to a tree in the background as the animation progresses. Does anyone have suggestions or a guide on how to properly use Layer Depth along with 3D position and View (Z position) and Vanishing Point (under Properties/Object) where I can move through the stage with the Camera like that? I'm trying to duplicate the currently shown flower (Movie Clip Symbol) and spacing it out while reducing its size on the Z axis and changing the Perspective Angle with 3D Position and View, but it's not going well. I have not messed around with Layer Depth that much while trying to space things out, so maybe that is mostly where the problem lies when placing or moving along the Z axis. That said, figured it doesn't hurt to ask for help to reduce the struggle. Thanks!

I've never worried about precision when setting up my parallax scenes - I've discovered that any kind of motion works. If you want to end up on a particular object in the background, go backwards, starting at your desired end point. I know it all sounds rather crude and imprecise, but it works.

Thank you for your reply OriginalGC. I sometimes overthink things. Going by your suggestion, I may try to do a temporary pose-to-pose keyframe placement for the flowers to plan the spacing. Was having issues with Layer Depth not maintaining size for some reason (via on-screen button) but the shortcut (alt) seemed to work-not sure why. Currently trying to figure out if I should/need to put the field of flowers on the main timeline, or keep them within the grass layer for the parallax effect.

Why not have two layers for the flowers, one in the foreground and one for the grass layer? Since there doesn't appear to be any texture on the grass layer itself, you can have more than one flower layer each moving at its own rate.

Maybe... I plan on going back into the symbol layers with more detail later. Had issues with my PC being unhappy when I brushed out lots of flowers-my PC became super laggy when those layers were unhidden. Symbols are great! So, now I am trying to start more simply and organized while planning things out.
