Hi there
I work with HTML 5 Canvas projects.
I have a grey background of the project.
When I enter in a particular movie clip to edit it I cannot see the boundaries of the project.
Is there any way to see where the project ends while in a movie clip editing?
Thanks in advance
Bobby

Hi.
To avoid this, you must edit instances already placed on the stage - instead of editing symbols from the Library panel - and you cannot have a camera set.

Thanks Jose for your kind answer
I am using the option at the top of the screen to open the MCs
How can I edit instances only?

You're welcome.
Just double-click the object on stage.

It is the same result
I see the colour of the stage and no boundaries
By the way if I remove the colour altogether I see only white and no boundaries ...
PS
a solution is to have a guide layer in the mc with a frame exactly the size of the project. like that i know where I am

Hmmm... Maybe I'm not getting the issue you're facing.
Would you mind sharing a screenshot, GIF, or video?

Hi,
have you tried toggling with this (top right of stage)...
When you hover over it is says 'Clip content outside the stage'.

Yeah, this is the "Clip content outside the stage" button.
It is active only while on the main timeline, not in the movieclips
Even if I click on it while on the main timeline and then go inside the movieclips it does not do the job.
For time being I use the solution with having a guide layer in the movie clip with a bright colour frame. Being a guide, the layer does not show when previewing and I can also lock it so it does not bother me when working with the rest of the layers.
Thanks
B
