Serious improvement needed on the Easing function

Classic Tweening and Easing functions needed a rework ever since I remember Flash, but now, when all these new Easing presets were introduced but essentially nothing of the important stuff has changed, I finally couldn't be silent any more. So instead of writing it all down, I have created a video to explain all what I think about it. Sorry for my English being a bit slow. I also have submitted this request to Adobe Feature request, but there is no way to attach a video there.

Main issues:

1. selecting symbols doesn't give access to Timeline properties. In order to edit the Easing graph of their corresponding Tweens, it's necessary first to right-click the timeline inside the selected area.

2. list of Ease presets is cumbersome - it would have been much easier to create thumbnail buttons, with visible graph pictures, so that it's easier to choose the necessary ease preset.

3. breaking a Tween that contains a preset or standard Ease setting by inserting a new Keyframe, doesn't break the Ease evenly, unless it's a custom Ease.

I posted a link to here in the Animate prerelease forum. Your English is very good, and I understood the problem that you were pointing out. Hopefully the Animate engineers will understand too.

Do you ever work with Motion Tweens instead? Those do give you a graph of the tween. I'm not sure about whether they will split correctly though.

Hi Colin

no, in animation production we never work with Motion Tweening, as there is a kind of old established way of animating Symbol based cut-outs, and I don't think it will change in any nearest future...

Thanks for the detailed video recording of the issues Danas. Really appreciate it!

Some of the things that you have requested for are already being worked on and would really great to have your feedback on the enhancements that are under development. I have already sent you the link to sign-up to the program while replying to one of your wish form email. Looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks!

Mohan

Just one more note - there is another plug-in, that I was using a while ago - Ease Caddy by Ajar productions, and it was kind of close to what I am talking about now, but since my work wouldn't pay for it, so I am not using it, and I don't have a way to test it on Animate CC at this time.
