Hello!
The head of a character I am trying to animate is shrinking everytime I try to move it. Additionally, the bun, which is parented to the head, is also shrinking each time the head is moved. The character is built out of separate parts, all parented together, in order to emulate a paper puppet.
The rest of the character's hierarchy works perfectly fine. I tried to unparent the head and bun, but Animate will not let me do so. Has anyone run into a similar problem with this newest version of Animate?

Hi, could you provide a screen recording showing the issue?

This google drive link includes a screen recording and the Animate file:

Thank you. I copy pasted the symbols into a new document and reparented them, that seems to fix the issue for now: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cbjhOOt3bXl_0FPx6YMkB663y2yrGXGf/view?usp=share_link
The original file however is deeply corrupted and I'm getting all sorts of strange behaviors: skewed stage, parts disappearing or jumping all over the place, incorrect selections, unregistered clicks, inverted stage panning... No idea what might have caused this, was this made with Animate 2023 or an older version? I hope the dev team can use this file to pinpoit the issue.

Thank you for sharing the adjusted file!
This scene was made entirely in the new version of Adobe Animate. I tried recreating the head, bun, and neck using simple shapes, and the parenting still wasn't working. As you said, the scene itself must be corrupted.
