Stage is massive

I am a sprite animator, and I have issue when it comes to stage size and lag

For some reason, I have a stage size of 27,000 x 27,000. I think its due to using the Scale and Rotate transformation when right-clicking a Symbol. Can a massive stage cause lag?

Is there any way to scale down the stage size without messing up my project?

Hi.

Why do you need the stage to be so big?

Animate is a vector program. You can make it at a lower size and export it as a bigger size later. I have seen a reason for anyone to have a stage that size though.
