Does the Adobe Animate output in SMIL format?

no, it does not.

ios and android are the only two mobile outputs.

Thanks for your help guys

We have trouble with Illustrator working with SVG animations when outputting to a "smil" enrironment. I was looking at this animator application as an alternative. OUtputting SVG is one thing, smil appears to be an obsolete format.
