Hi all,
I have just downloaded Animate CC 2017 into my new computer at work, and I am not able to launch the app.
I have also tried this link which adobe pointed me to from the pop up window when it is not able to launch (see link below).
https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/kb/preferences-folder-read-only-error.html
I have followed the step by step instructions here, and still unable to launch the app. Firstly, there was no Animate CC 2017 Folder as mentioned in the link above, so I created one, still unable to launch the app. I figured I should unlock all the folders before the "Adobe" folder and "Application Support" folder. Still unable to launch the app.
I am not able to launch just this app, but as for my other apps, it works fine. I only use the Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Bridge. And they all launch and works fine.
Please help!
Thanks heaps in advance.
Richard !

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I am on the Mac Os 10.11.6 El Capitan. When I click "Open" on the desktop app, this is what I see (see below).
I've also followed the step by step instruction when I click on "More Info" when the pop up window appeared (see below). With all that, I still am not able to launch my app.

Hi,
Yes as per instructed in the info given. Unlocked every folder which leads to the Animate CC 2017 folder, and change them all to read and write with my profile on it. Unless I am still doing something wrong, or missed out something...

Hi,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I see the same dialogue box popping up again (as seen in the screen shot above). The read-write permission dialogue box.
