Adobe Animate loading old version

When working on adobe animate, recently it has been giving me an old version of my work from a few weeks ago, even though I saved my updates. One time though it did give me the current version but then went back to giving me the old version. I am not sure if this is a problem with my laptop or with adobe creative cloud.

You can only open old files in the newer version adobe animate. Once you save it in the newer version, you can no longer open that file in an older version of Adobe Animate.
