Adobe Animate won't play audio after the first frame

I'm trying to animate to a recording of myself. If I start from the very beginning, the audio will play. But if I stop it at ANY point and try to play again, it's absolutely silent. This is really frusterating, and I can't figure out the issue.

Make sure the audio's sync is set to 'stream' instead of 'event'.  Event sounds will only play from their starting point.
