animate 20.0 introduces new features without fixing known problems from 19.2.

Sadly advanced layers has not been resolved (broken in v19.2) and does not work for canvas output.

Even simple things like selecting a different preloader.gif still causes this: “SyntaxError: missing ) after argument list”.

So I'm back to 19.1 yet again with all of it's known issues.

Maybe someone can prove me wrong? Please do. Could it be my OS version? High Sierra 10.13.6.

Do not look for the bug on your machine, Animate 2020 is just a pretty broken software. We went back to 19, actually the only option if you still want to produce stuff in Animate.
