Hello,

I've been using Animate for about a week or so and suddenly in April it just stopped opening. It generates crash reports and upon further investigation it says that's it's an "except access violation." I've tried uninstalling + reinstalling, running as administrator, and giving my profile full control over Animate's features to no avail. The only thing I haven't tried is letting it through my firewall. Should I try it? Will it work? Here's the crash line:

<crash exception="EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" exceptionCode="0xc0000005" instruction="0x00000001402D819F">

Hi mate,

Being blocked to access adobe's server can be the reason for not opening. Normally if it can't connect it should give you a more meaningful message, but it's worth trying letting it through the firewall. There may be be a separate adobe process that actually needs access. You will have to experiment with that and keep in mind that it will work 'blindfolded' for a while after a successful connection until that period expires.
