Animate 2021 won't open

Hi everyone!

I just installed Adobe Animate 2021 a few days back. But today, for the first time since the update, the app immediately crashes whenever I try to open it. I have restarted my computer, tried to uninstall and re-install Animate, and followed some solutions for the same issue with Animate 2017 (posted on Adobe's website). Yet, nothing seems to keep the app from crashing.

Has anyone else had this issue, and know how to solve it?

I should also mention that I use Mac OS X Catalina.

I'm having the same issue. For now, I was able to install Animate 2020 again and that's working fine. I'll check back on 2021 in a few weeks to see if they release an update to fix.

I'm having the same issue. I'll keep poking around for ideas on how to fix it, but in the meantime it's back to Animate v.20.5

I'm having the same problem with Animate 2021. Can anyone explain how I'd re-install a previous version to see if that helps?

Update: Problem fixed by reverting to Animate v20.5.

Same problem. Mac OS X Catalina 10.15.6

I also am experiencing this issue. Tried installing the previous version (20.5) and for both versions I get the message "Save your work in AdobeCRDaemon".  Running Catalina 10.15.7. Any solutions?

I am also having the same problem and I just updated to Big Sur
